“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the National Restaurant Association. I attended a live event and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
Eating out for my family is a treat and usually fast food is the preference of my kids. This stresses me out! Trying to find a restaurant that is convenient and that offers healthy choices has always been a challenge for me. However thanks to the National Restaurant Association I am a mom who is stress free, at least when it comes to dining out with my kids.
Thanks to the National Restaurant Association and the Kids LiveWell Program we can dine out at our favorite restaurants, but still have healthy options. The Kids LiveWell Program in collaboration with Healthy Dining was launched to help parents and children select healthful menu options when dining out. Those restaurants who participate in the program commit to offering healthful meal items for children, with a particular focus on increasing consumption of fruit and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains and low-fat dairy, and limiting unhealthy fats, sugars and sodium.
To make it even easier for busy parents like my husband and I there is an app we were able to download on our iPad and iPhones. The Kids LiveWell app is FREE to download and super easy to navigate. Making dining when traveling easy. I was excited to find that some of our kids’ favorite places to eat were on the list. Here’s a few: Burger King, Chili’s, Cracker Barrel, Outback, and IHOP. Check this out, Sea World and Busch Gardens are also on the Kids LiveWell list. This is awesome for us because we head to Florida and these theme parks while we’re on vacation next week.
If you like to eat out with your family and want healthy choices then make sure you check out Kids LiveWell on facebook and twitter. Also download the Kids LiveWell App from iTunes or from the Antroid Market, remember its FREE!
Love this! Our daughter has her annual IEP tomorrow morning and keeping our fingers crossed for positive results. We have had wonderful experiences in the past, but this year Taylor was moved to a new classroom. Along with the new changes come even bigger ones for the next school year. I will let y’all know how it goes!
